Denmark co-hosts side-event at the 55th session of The Commission on the Status of Women in New York on “Rebuilding the global economy: Towards sustainable and gender equitable development”.
On 23 February, the Government of Denmark, South Africa and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) co-hosted an interactive roundtable on gender equality in the framework of the combined food, financial and economic crisis. (February 24, 2011)

Denmark has recently started a completely new development programme of DKK 130 million with Pakistan for the period 2010-2012. The main focus of the programme is education, reconstruction of infrastructure in the conflict- and flood affected areas and support for democracy, human rights and media. (February 18, 2011)
Outcome of the conference on women's role in global security
On 29-30 October 2010 the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Danish Minister for Development Co-operation, in cooperation with the American Embassy, hosted the high-level conference "Role of Women in Global Security" to sharpen the focus on women as critically important agents in not only prevention and resolution of conflicts but in post-conflict reconciliation and reintegretion.  (November 5, 2010)
Conference in Copenhagen on women's role in global security
On 29 and 30 October the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs Lene Espersen and the Danish Minister for Development Co-operation Søren Pind, in cooperation with the American Embassy, will be hosting the high-level conference “Role of women in global security” to sharpen the global focus on the unique and important role that women play in prevention and resolution of conflicts, peace-building, and post-conflict reconciliation and reintegration.
