AIM OF THE CAMPAIGN
What we aim to achieve with this Call to Action
A commitment by all governments to making gender equality and women’s empowerment a key issue.
Substantial increase governments’ domestic resource allocation for gender equality and women’s empowerment by 2010.
At least a doubling of Overseas Development Assistance to gender equality and women’s empowerment by bilateral and multilateral donors by 2010.
New measurable milestones for MDG3 in the run-up to 2015.
Improved statistics and measured investments in gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Commitment by the private sector to strengthening gender aspects in their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
Innovative public/private partnerships to promote MDG3.
Identification and scaling up of best practices on women’s economic empowerment.
